I am curious why you might want to call it the first ham DMR? (really, I am not kidding, nor trying to create controversy) Believe it or not, I am pretty sure that radio has been out for a couple years. The last several years there has been about 16 or 17 DIFFERENT DMR radios for sale at IWCE, and KIRISUN has been there since 2011. HUGE interest in DMR the last few years. HUGE... What is still surprising me is that none of them are doing DMR and P25 in the same radio. Seems that should be pretty easy now. Having looked at most of those Chinese radios at IWCE for about 5 years, most of them look pretty similar, and have almost the same features. Most people think they all come from about two or three factories in China. I kinda believe that too. |

petnrdx wrote: I am curious why you might want to call it the first ham DMR? What I meant by the "first ham DMR" is a radio with a VFO mode and a memory mode. Not a FPP (front pad programing) like you would see on a commercial radio or requires software to program it. |

Does it have a VFO mode? I didn't see that. THAT would be different. |
