It looks like I could be making a trip to Oklahoma in the very near future. I was checking for 2m or 70cm repeaters in the Fairview (Major County) area. I found three total but none were showing PL tones. I checked the Internet, the listings in this site as well as the ARRL repeater book. Does this mean a tone isn't required or does anyone have suggestions as to I could look further? Thank you, Wayne KF7FYL |

If you notice the dot on the far right of the listings in the repeater book, the repeaters listed haven't been verified. This is probably why they have no tone information. You can always use Google to search internet... of the repeater callsign and see if they have a web page. OK is pretty flat so most likely there are multiple repeaters from multiple counties that you'll be able to hear and use. |

Thank you Nick. You are right, where my daughter and grandkids live it is really flat and rural Oklahoma. Wayne |
