Via the Edmonds / Kingston (said in my best Jamaican voice) ferry. Up 104 to 101, via that freakish town known as Port Gamble, and over the Hood Canal bridge. Anyone within earshot? Let me know, and I'll type in the frequency. 73 -Marcus |

Sequim spelled backwards- miuqes (mucus) As you travel 104 to 101 start looking up at the hill (with the towers) over Discovery Bay. That's Maynard hill. (in case you didn't know.) |

Ahhh yes, Maynard Hill, named after John Maynard from the legendary local rock station duo, Robin & Maynard ;). I knew that there was a tower in that vicinity, just wasn't sure where... I'll keep an eye out. I believe that the 147.200 repeater use to be up there, maybe still is. I'll have to hit it and see what happens. Thanks for the travel guide.... gotta run. -Marcus |

The north transmitter was moved to Lyman hill where it still exists today under the ownership of a different Pete. Kruml.. I believe right now that there is only the PSE ares repeater up there. 441.125 was up there but is down for upgrades. May only be a receiver site in the future. On Blyn- the next site over (to the southwest) which you can't see from the ground there are a few ham repeaters including a 6 meter and another uhf. I believe a 900 is still up there as well. PSE calls Maynard- Blyn so the confusion begins. OK, outdated, that's par for me. Right now, catching the tower farm off the port side of the Honda. These eyes see a minimum of 7 towers. I'll have to program the 70cm freqs for the return trip. -Marcus |
