I'm going to remote mount a TK-5720 mobile in my pickup but I'd also like to remote mount a decent dual-band mobile for 2M/70cm use. Looking for cross band repeat and 50 watts. Any recommendations? |

IC-2820 should fit the bill. The head is mountable with magnets too (or traditional holes and screws). Works pretty darn good. |

Nothing beats the Kenwood V-71A in my opinion. 50w on either VHF or UHF. :) http://universal-radio.com/catalog/fm_txvrs/0071a.html (Provided Universal link for details. Buy from HRO in Portland and get it in one day. Free UPS ship.) Not to mention that Kenwood has the best audio output of any brand save Motorola. |
