Anyone else? Event Talk-In has been listed as 145.450 and 145.490 repeaters, as well as 146.520 simplex. I'll be staying away from all that stuff. I'll be using my usual splinter UHF frequency of 446.5625 CTCSS 146.2. It's quiet. I may also be using 147.540 simplex, no tone - probably have to share with the P25 guys. A decent local UHF repeater is on 440,925, 100 PL. It's on Megler Mtn. (WA side of river, around 1500 feet), may be linked to 444.500 on Nikolai. Generally decent coverage of the Astoria/Seaside area. Peter/WA7FUS, will have his portable 220 repeater on the air, 224.220, 77.0 PL. It will be in his hotel room in Seaside, so only local city coverage is expected. That group will also be using 223.500 simplex. The 900mhz guys will have their portable repeater on the air, 927.9875 114.8 hz. Probably 927.500 simplex will be used sporadically. DStar users (what few will be down there) will likely be on 145.670 simplex. Not sure what the P25/Mototrbo guys will be using. Any other frequencies for consideration? I'm not going to be there this weekend, but I do encourage you all to use the N7PIR repeater in Seaside on 443.875+ 100.0 PL tone. |

Yes, this is right in Seaside and I can assure you, it will blow your socks off with the coverage. |
