A new P25 repeater came online last week. Here is a list of all the P25 repeaters for the Puget Sound Area. As noted, they are all mixed mode.

Lyman 444.500 MHz NAC 293 PL 103.5

King Lake 443.125 MHz NAC 293 PL 156.7

KOMO Tower 444.425 MHz NAC 293 PL 141.3

Beacon 440.525 MHz NAC 293 PL 141.3

Capitol Hill 442.875 MHz NAC 293 PL 141.3

I will check those ( some again ) when I am up in June.

So while I was up in Seattle this afternoon picking up a car on Harbor Island, I keyed up the KOMO Tower machine in P25, ID'd myself in P25, then I hear the repeater lock up for a good 10 minutes...

Mt. Baldi 441.350 PL 192.8 NAC 293

The King Lake RPT (443.125 MHz NAC 293 PL 156.7) switched from 12.5 khz to 25 khz on analog. The rest of the repeaters should be 12.5 khz.

has anybody tried out the baldi repeater yet? 441.350?

I use to be on that repeater when it was down in Eola... In Everett, I need to be on a mobile to hit the repeater.

Is this list of UHF P25 repeaters still pretty accurate for the King County area? Have any others added P25 since April?

I just did. It seems to be working okay.

Do most P25 repeaters operate on 12.5khz (when transmitting digital) or does it really matter?

Phase I P25 modulation is a 12.5 kHz channel, by definition (technically 8K10F1E per the FCC). All radios, including scanners, just know that.

A new P25 repeater was put on the air this weekend.

Cougar Mtn - 444.850+, NAC 293. Analog 103.5/103.5

It is in the same shack as the 441.550 analog repeater and the Cougar MotoTrbo repeater.

So far, it seems to work real well around the eastside, and respectably around areas north and south of downtown Seattle.

Biggest problem with some of the Seattle P25 repeaters is that they're active at very strange times of the day.
