Post subject:  Anyone feel like schooling a guy on HF?

I'm a master at VHF and above, but a complete n00b when it comes to HF.. Most of my experience comes from commercial/PS equipment, and they rarely operate HF.

All the options, modes, filters, etc etc are a blur...

Anyone willing to take me in and spend an hour (or so) giving me the basics? I'm a kinesthetic learner, so it needs to be hands on, hopefully with an IC7000 since that's the rig I wanna get...

Somewhere along the I5 corridor from Seattle to Olympia would be preferred...

TW, sorry I missed your post earlier. I just got my radio console installed in my Durango a couple of weeks ago. PM if you want to meet up somewhere locally. I have 7000 installed.
