As of today, the 147.220 on South Whidbey, and the 146.860 repeater near Coupeville are now linked. They are using a UHF frequency for the link, and judging from the audio quality and drop outs, they have a bit of work to do. But, it's a project that's been on their plate for several years. For the "island folk", it's a big step up in their support of Island County emergency services and public service events. Brad/N7JGX Whidbey Island, WA |

congrats I know this was a big project, I worked with the member of your group who also works for the telco. I have a house on the north and randomly pop in on north end, fun that I can follow up the island now! http://www.w7avm.org/Home/tabid/55/Default.aspx |
