While listening to an ARES net last night, I figured out that the W2ZT repeater system has expanded a bit: 442.500 - Buck Mtn 444.975 - Haystack Mtn. (near Monroe) 223.940 - Also on Haystack Mtn. 145.390 - South Everett, east of Boeing plant. Last night, they were all linked together for their net. Don't know if that's a normal occurrence. It appears that his system supports the Snohomish County ARES efforts. |

There used to be another 440 in Skykomish hooked up to this. |

They are not always linked together all the time. I think they use VOIP connection for links. |

And, the K5IN system on Capitol is linkable via a remote base to W2ZT on Buck. Oh yeah... Forest Service just "raised the rent" :chaingun: and methinks the hams will all vacate Buck in fairly short order  unless they or their supporters are "made of money" |
