You guys made it up there just in time for the place to freeze over again :P

I remember last spring when I was in Astoria listening to K7PP "South" about the one ham who tried to get up to KO Peak to fix it and reported downhill that he can't go any further.

If you look at the building you will see that the east side has a taller chase. There's a door up higher for gaining access when the snow gets really deep. The site is only 2800ft but it gets pretty slammed by all kinds of weather.

We painted the cinder block with tar when we moved in just about 4 years ago and its been sandblasted off by the weather.
