I have a Kantronics KPC3 Plus, HTX-202 and a Garmin GPS 12 without a computer in my 94 Mazda B3000. I can not get it to display speed, direction, but it does do altitude. :?: Below is what it shows on http://www.findu.com/cgi-bin/find.cgi?call=KB7ZKA-9 at this time. To get position, speed, date and time you need to use the $GPRMC string. The $GPGGA string only contains position, altitude, and time. You may want to use one string in GPSHEAD 1 every 2 minutes and the other in GPSHEAD 2 every 5 minutes. I'm not aware of a string that indicates direction, as you would usually see what the direction is when looking at an APRS screen. |
