Anyone know where to buy parts??
FT-50 power button took a crap. I can't even turn on my radio because of a stupid 50 cent part.
Of course I tried the usual places.

You need a replacement rubber button. The contact is made by a drop of conductive ink/paint on the backside of the button. Guess what happens when it wears off ? Yaesu used to sell a new button for less than a dollar. Perhaps they still have them in stock. Some people have had luck with superglue and a small spot of tinfoil on the back of the button.

An alternative is to carefully solder a microswitch on top of the PCB contact area then hogging out the backside of the rubber button to correctly clear the switch. Thats what I did to my FT-50 when this happened.

I'll have to call up Yaesu.
If they don't stock that part, then time to plug in the solder thing-a-ma-jig.
I have a lot of accessories for it, I hate to just chuck it.
