Also I noticed the stampede repeater is back up this morning. I love the range on this one (easily hit it from Sammamish, Redmond, etc.) but I don't hear much traffic...

:?: Which one is this?

It's the WB0CZA system. Lots of voters; one at Stampede, as I understand. It can reach well into Ellensburg on an average day but it's a noisy system. Great for saying what you have to, but not so great for a long QSO.

When I talked to him in August, he indicated one of the things he wanted to do was fix that problem.

That would be pretty sweet. If he's using simulcast then he'll need some pretty expensive equipment to get that timing down. Does he have what he needs?

145.410 worked pretty good north of the Tri-Cities and along the Snake R towards Kahlotus. Couldn't work the Lind machine 147.12. Not sure if it's up or not. Couldn't work Kamiak from Washtucna or some of the other hills around the area. Pikes Peak filled in some of the areas to the east of Walla Walla.

WB0CZA has a pretty nice system going.
I helped him a little several years ago at Tiger and Stampede.
The system is simulcast, and he has what he needs, except maybe more time...
