Congratulations :!: That is one of the transmitters... 8) 8) Now, on what azimuth do you hear maximum signal  :?: Strength :?: Gain of antenna used to make the measurements :?: Location of your receiver :?: Are you close enough to scan 430-450 Mhz and see if it shows up there somewhere     :?:

Signal was very, very low; had to have squelch open to catch any words.
Unfortunately, do not have beam, so can't get any direction.
Maybe possible on the 430-450 Mhz.

Best signal reports indicate a location somewhere in Skagit County.
The 144.830 signal is strongest here, the 5.43 less so. Variable depending on weather.

Reason to keep old, functional TV antennas... Especially log-periodic designs

Broadband, VHF/UHF coverage, and DIRECTIONAL

quote from email in the Shoreline area regarding the upside down repeater...

"whatever this is, it either isn't anywhere near me or it's de-sensing itself badly,
as I do seem to get a fairly strong kerchunk signal. But there's no hang
time on it, so can't really tell."

What I cut out was that it took him high power on his roof top omni to get a response.

Hello team,

Is this still an issue? I'm located in Skagit County and just heard about it a few moments ago.

Just checked a few minutes ago, UA device still on-air :!:

In a few minutes, this will be ongoing for a whole week :!:
Or, approximately 10,080 minutes.

Hello Team,

I have been able to verify that the offending signal isn't in Skagit County East of interstate 5. There are strong multipathed reflections coming off of Lyman Hill, Anderson Montain and Cultus Mountain which create all kinds of strays to chase around in a circle.

My Strongest reflection is coming from Cultus at 4:36AM 3/28/10. Due to this, I thik it would be wise to check around Whidbey or Camano Island. I might get a chance to head up to Mount Erie, on Fidalgo Island to take a more accurate reading later.

At 0700 today's date, or in less than 15 minutes, the local KD7WDG
145.43 repeater will be turned on, this should do a pretty good job of providing a test signal in the target area...

I still have it s2 to s3 in Seatac on 144.830.
Weird vacuum cleaner noise seems to be there too.
It fades in and out.
