Im to cheap to buy the software, and programming this thing by hand.

How come I cant overwrite #1 memory on the VHF, and UHF side's?

It looks funny with #1 showing 144.00, and 430.000 when Im scanning the rest of my freq's.

On that note, I guess I can take the cable for my VX6R, and build another plug with an old PS2 off of an older mouse, and grab one of the free downloads, and program it that way. Makes mw wonder how much fun Im going to have with my 857D when I pull that out of the box, and start playing with that

I think Im going to wipe this thing out tonight, and try it all over again. Im sure that I may be doing something really stupid, and just not catching it.

Thanks for the offer!..( That is really nice if you),Image

I have the cable for the VX-6R, and a buddy sent me the instructions so you can do the conversion with a PS2 plug from an old mouse. Im going to give that a shot, and see how it works out.
