It's the weekend of June 23 & 24th, 11am to 11am (24 hours).
If you can ignore the contest-type flavor this event has taken on, it's actually kind of fun - especially if you are truly operating a station on emergency/alternate power sources, or from a spectacular high elevation location. Camping at it's best!
I know the Microhams will be having a 4A station set up (with radios donated by Icom), and there are other club-sponsored events going on all over our region.
Is anyone doing something special or exciting for field day? I'll be at a wedding most of Saturday, but I'll participate as much as I can before and after the ceremony. Perhaps I'll be able to operate mobile going to and from....
