This repeater is back on the air, at a new location. It is on the new SERS (Snohomish County Emergency Radio System) tower on the north side of Fire Trail Hill (northwest portion of Snohomish County). It's about 800 ft or more above Sea Level, and has 25 watts out of the repeater box.
It's designed coverage is Central to North Snohomish county, and into the Cascade Mountains. I drove around from Everett to Mt. Vernon, over to Anacortes, and down Whidbey Island yesterday - it's coverage was fair to good throughout most of that route, with some excellent coverage areas up and down I-5 and across to mid-Whidbey Island.
Other reports indicate that it really drops off once you head south of the King/Snohomish County line.
It seems to work better than the old Paine Field site...if you have 220mhz, give it a try.
Tone is 103.5
