Spent most of the day yesterday putting Craig's 145.350 machine back on the air atop Saddle Mountain.
Presently, it's set at 20 watts out past the duplexer. I have a 100 watt amplifier for it but we found the duplexer to be shot so the less RF the better until we can get a better duplexer in there. Currently there is mobile coverage only from Moses Lake, west to George. Down in Vantage hole it's not so good. Receiver opens at -122 dBm. Add 8 dB of site noise (wireless internet crap at the site littered all over the tower) and 20 dB of desense from the crappy duplexer and you've got a nice TKR-750 repeater with horrible sensitivity. :(
145.350- (100.0)
Anybody know of a 2m duplexer for sale? Repeater pair is the typical 600 KHz split and power running through it will someday be about 75-80 watts.
