Since you're in Kent, I'm assuming you're talking about south King County. And as for "hot", don't know if you mean signal strength or activity.

I'm more in tune with the repeaters up north. I've cut & paste my 220 database below. It's current as of a few days ago, but not all-inclusive.

For your area, I believe the 223.980 has a good signal strength and some activity. The BEARS 224.340 repeater is also a good high level repeater that's occasionally tied into the Evergreen Intertie. The one on Grass Mtn has good coverage, as does the 224.240 one on Buck Mtn. Those are just some suggestions.

But, don't get too discouraged once you get there....the 220 band is less populated, so there isn't as much activity. However, there are fewer repeaters on the air (compared to 2m & 440), so the users are more confined into a few of them. Most of them are happy to hear some kind of acticity on 220, so you may get some conversations out of it. But, it's still an interesting band, and my personal favorite.

One warning - the stock duck antenna on the F6A isn't a great performer on 220. If you have an aftermarket Maldol or Comet - or better yet, a mobile/base antenna, you'll do much better getting into these repeaters.

It's a bunch of repeaters in WA, OR, ID, and MT that are linked together. The BEARS repeaters (145.330 and 224.340) are part of the system.
