The 147.08 machine is trucker only. Its full of uneducated yap and cb'ers with unlicensed ham radios.
I have heard them kick Boy Scout Troops off for not being truckers.
Dont waste your time on this one.

I guess to each their own..
I always liked that repeater, they kicked off the boys scouts because the repeater is for truckers. thankfully there are like 100 other repeaters for the boy scouts to use; Gary the guy who owns it is a hoot to listen to when he gets mad at people stomping on the truckers. when Im stuck in traffic I normally flip over and read the mail there. I personally miss the days of CB listening and like the trucker yapping.. its just missing the cb-slang :)

its not uneducated its just not about the weather and ham radios or how to properly use a antenna(hihi)... its truckers chatting with friends while they all sit in trucks all day and there are plenty of licensed amateurs with unlicensed radios so no difference there :)

I'm going to see if any of the truckers on there I reconize from my facility.
