I was checking the British Columbia database on t his site and noticed that ambulance dispatch for the Abbotsford area is 149.440 but is noted "rarely used." Is there anyone out there who could advise what the correct frequency is for the Abbotsford ambulance dispatch. Could anyone advise the area covered by the EMTs and Paramedics on this frequency? One final question-does the dispatch for the RCMP in the Abbotsford area also cover Aldergrove as well as any of the cities going east from this area on Hwy 1? Many thanks |

One final question: If I recall from a previous post Aldergrove, BC fire is dispatched from Langley from the CREST system. Is this correct or is there a frequency that can be monitored? Also, does anyone have the fire dispatch for Chillwack, BC. Many thanks, |

Location Usage RX Freq RX Tone TX Freq TX Tone Abbotsford Ross Road Remote Base 149.440 123.0 149.440 123.0 I can't listen from down here, but this is what I copied last year. This is from a 2004 doc. BC Ambulance used to have these freqs on a website, then pulled it and requested that other scanner sites not post it. Their radio system is huge, it consists of remotes and rptrs and interconnects. |

CREST is only Victoria and area.. It's a Motorola VHF system, on the mainland it's a big EDACS system. |

Aldergrove is part of Langley Township . They are hall 3 and use the following freqs : 171.66 Dispatch 169.2 Tac 169.5 Tac Chillwack, BC. 154.19 Dispatch 150.17 Thay call this narrow band it seems to be a simulcast of 154.19 149.440 is the correct freq for ambulance dispatch it covers Abbotsford and the city of Mission to the north . You will hear dispatch for lots of other areas as well on this freq as the dispatch side is patched , the cars are simplex and you will only hear the Mission Abbotsford ones . RCMP Fraser Valley Traffic services covers the highways in this area . Abbotsford has their own city police . |
