Anyone working on these? I was just perusing the FCC database and found quite a few I never listened to when I lived there (beyond the heavy hitters like Day Wireless, Silke, Wiztronics, etc). Some should be easy to receive from one's own house; others may be too far for some to travel (sorry Nick, a lot are all the way in Seattle). Avis car rentals at SeaTac has a little one, licensed for DMR. The Kent School District has two licenses for what looks to be a DMR system. WRMI765, WRMI909 Mercer Island Schools has a license for an apparent DMR system. I see a DMR system for Northshore School District. Renton School District has what appears to be a lean Capacity Plus system. Saint Francis hospital down in Federal Way is licensed for a DMR system. I'm not quite certain what Children's Hospital is doing with multiple DMR trunked licenses, some at the same location, but maybe someone can sort it out? WRPM987 WSAT800 WRDT357 WQLJ632 KNNM968 A high-rise apartment building in Belltown, Arrive, has its own DMR system. Shoreline School District has two separate DMR trunked licenses, WQWL713 and WPSU401. SSA has a DMR license for their operations at Terminal 18 on Harbor Island, or as I remember it, a stinking traffic hellhole. St Anne Hospital in Burien has a weird one, a single channel DMR trunked license. The Starbucks Global HQ in SODO has a license that I remember listening to. When last I checked, they were using color code 15. Talkgroup 12 was security. T-Mobile in Bellevue has been using a DMR system for years but appears to have recently expanded it to cover outlying sites. My notes show they used to run color code 5, with talkgroup 10 being security dispatch. I once walked into their lobby and found everyone present to be carrying a XPR7550, with one security guard carrying two. Valley Medical Center has three licenses to cover its sprawling campus and all of its outlying clinics: WQXC622 WQXC888 WQYJ738 Wesley Homes, a retirement place in Des Moines, has its own system to replace the one I remember, a UHF conventional pair. |

Also, it appears as though the Washington State Convention Center has a new system. I had obtained the codeplug for the old one circa 2020; this new one, WRZE763, looks completely different. |

The apathy around here is underwhelming... |

Truthfully if I was going to sell someone a two way radio system today it would be using a PTT system similar to Zello on purpose built devices and have shore to shore coverage wherever the chosen cell carrier had a footprint. Especially for an "overpriced apartment" building crew. We had some interesting traffic on our radio channels this week with all the wet and windy fun. |

I've wondered how long it will take for cellular to kill commercial 2-way. Why pack a radio when seemingly everybody already has a smartphone ? 2-way comms are down to installing an app. PTT over Cellular devices (Motorola TLK110 etc) bring value to ultra-wide-area comms but the monthly cost doesn't scale well for in-building or campus solutions. |

Especially for an "overpriced apartment" building crew. My point was that no one is listening anymore. Overpriced? Not for a highrise downtown. I looked at one just before I escaped to America. 1 bedroom apartment off Denny at $7k a month. Glad I moved out. |
