Hey all,

I used to be into scanning about 13 years ago and even logged onto the old BBS. Now interested in coming back and I see that since scanners can handle trunking and digital now (the bcd396 comes to mind) I am wondering if its worth getting into again. Now my conecerns is that it seems there is this "rebanding" issue coming down the pike and alot of agencies are going the encryption route, is there going to be anything left to monitor in the future other than rent-a-cops downtown?

Welcome back, good to hear from you again... Someone with real insight is bound to help you with your question. Just out of curiosity, does your username share any resemblance with the famous Tivoli Gardens? As a kid, Tivoli was a favorite of mine.

No, they all use Nextel.

(Sorry to play devil's advocate)

Sure Wil, you finally pipe up on here only to destroy our hope of having anything to listen to.
