RE: SKAGIT COUNTY 911 Can someone else up north confirm that 155.6325 C151.4 sounds REALLY bad? Sounds like major AC hum or some other audio component transmitting with the primary dispatch channel... Perhaps a new form of encryption! :P |

"FIRE TAC 9" is a three site ( voted ) simulcast system located @ Mount Erie, Little Mtn, and Lyman Hill. Bad GPS clock pulse timing sync ? Are you perhaps hearing just the mobile user input noise - or are you also observing this condition from the dispatcher signals as well ? Maybe even the remote possibility of a ill-programmed ( wideband ) mobile unit ? Overlap signals are always a distinct possibility. Disparate repeater site antenna pattern types ? |

Craig H wrote: Are you perhaps hearing just the mobile user input noise - or are you also observing this condition from the dispatcher signals as well? No it was coming from the repeater output. Definitely sounded like pure electrical hum. It didn't sound like traditional multipath issues or anything of that sort. Oddly, I listened for it last night and didn't see/hear the frequency being active, so perhaps someone reported it back to their techs. I'll keep an ear on this frequency to see if it comes back... |
