So I recently started noticing that the DNR Area repeater on Larch Mt has gone silent 159.3525 136.5
Area traffic has moved over to the State Repeater 159.420 136.5. I also have heard some of the usual State type traffic, fish and game, on the 159.420 DPL156 repeater. So it appears they may be consolidating some operations onto one repeater at least down in SW Washington? I can't see this would be a temporary thing due to a repeater outage as they would have to reprogram not only all DNR customers as well as local and federal users

Any ideas? Anyone seeing this anywhere else?

Scroll down to the paragraph numbered as "7", and open the "presentation material " PowerPoint link.

No plans to move to P25 anytime soon, but their legacy radio stuff is now considered obsolete by the manufacturer(s).

Speculation: Maybe some various system infrastructure upgrades are underway now ? Weather conditions are favorable now for mountaintop travel / visits.

I've seen a recent increase in their coordinations for channels in that area.
