It's that time of year again for the annual Blue Angels thread.

255.200 Circle/arrivals discrete and cross country air/ air [Channel 17]
265.000 Diamond formation secondary
275.350 Diamond formation outside the show box, cross country air/air and their Pensacola squadron common [Channel 9]
284.250 Show box (center) for diamond, solos, delta and cross country air/air [Channel 16]
289.800 Air refueling during cross country trips
305.500 Fat Albert “Bert” primary, solo aircraft (west coast) and maintenance officer [Channel 10]
305.900 Fat Albert “Bert” and solos/“Ernie Demo” Blue Angel 9
333.300 Diamond formation/Delta show box (Fleet Week in San Francisco)
346.500 “Checklist Freq” – Pre-show checklist, ground start/roll out and maintenance [Channel 18]

The Blue Angel ground maintenance crews have their own set of communication frequencies in support of their mission. They carry with them a communications cart (comcart) for their ground maintenance net. The two confirmed frequencies used by this cart include:

139.8125 Ground maintenance crews/equipment checks NBFM 67.0 Hz PL tone
141.6125 Ground maintenance crews/equipment checks NBFM 67.0 Hz PL tone
142.6125 Tower Observer NBFM 67.0 Hz PL tone

Is it me or was someone in the back of # 7 in the shot of the four of them (this was Sat not Sun).

Thanks Jim. I said this before, but as you can see show center is between the log boom and Mercer Island not as it was for decades, between the logboom and the pits.

Yeah it sure looks like it.
Look closely and you will notice the canopy is different than the other three. And the paint job just behind the canopy is different also.

This must be the jet they use to take people up for a demo flight. Wonder who the lucky one will be from Kiro7 this year?

"The show's narrator flies Blue Angel 7, a two-seat F/A-18B Hornet, to show sites. The Blues use this jet for backup, and to give demonstration rides to VIP civilians. Three backseats at each show are available; one of them goes to members of the press, the other two to "Key Influencers".[10] The No.4 slot pilot often flies the No. 7 aircraft in Friday's "practice" shows."

Anyone get any hits on 305.5? I have it in my scanner from years past as channel 10 but it seems that some places have 305.9 as channel 10.
