Hi all, Cool site. I don't have a scanner, but like to listen to the one on komonews.com. There was a big hazmat response to Fisherman's Terminal in Seattle today, I think it was an ammonia leak. They dispatched unit BUFF1, does anyone know what it is? I know the acronym BUFF as the nickname for a B-52... (they also dispatched the MVU1 fan truck, I saw an older thread about that one) cheers, |

BUFF1 are SFD Fire Buffs. They will respond to major incidents to provide rehab. They are an all volunteer group. Here is a link to some history behind the group http://www.eskimo.com/~dling/firebuff/history.htm |

They also respond to other Contracted King County agencies. |

And for those that do have a scanner, you'll occasionally you'll hear them talking on 2096. |

We have had what I seem to recall REHAB1 sent to our calls. Are they part of the Fire Buffs too? |
