Hi all,

Cool site. I don't have a scanner, but like to listen to the one on komonews.com.

There was a big hazmat response to Fisherman's Terminal in Seattle today, I think it was an ammonia leak. They dispatched unit BUFF1, does anyone know what it is? I know the acronym BUFF as the nickname for a B-52...

(they also dispatched the MVU1 fan truck, I saw an older thread about that one)

BUFF1 are SFD Fire Buffs. They will respond to major incidents to provide rehab. They are an all volunteer group.

And for those that do have a scanner, you'll occasionally you'll hear them talking on 2096.

We have had what I seem to recall REHAB1 sent to our calls.
Are they part of the Fire Buffs too?
