Check out the promotional stuff here.

Fireworks are being done by Pyro Spectaculars. Event "security" is CSC Events. I was at Gasworks tonight. It was mostly set up by 21:00. Lots of CSC guys in yellow jackets standing around watching people. Never heard any radio traffic emitting from their shoulders. They were all guys and wore their radios on their backside so I have no idea what kind of radios they were.

Grabbed from ULS:
Pyro
464.6000
464.6250
464.6500
464.7000

CSC
461.1375
464.5000
461.3875
461.4375
461.5125
464.9000

CSC does a lot of event security at stadiums, which they often use 461.5125 and 461.3875 both with DPL of 152. I grabbed a few freqs on New Year's, discused here. I was up on the hill so I don't know who was doing security.

Dug up my old notes while clearing out my phone. I had:

461.1375 DPL 152 Seemed most activity was here
461.5125 DPL 152 May not have been related
461.3875 DPL 152 May not have been related
464.5000 DPL 346 Unknown
461.4375 (210.7) talk of buildings and account numbers, definitely not related to fireworks. Possibly some sort of delivery service; only 2 people were talking. ULS shows WPWS494 - PPR REDMOND RETAIL LLC DBA REDMOND TOWN CENTER. I doubt this was it because I was mostly picking it up from the Westlake/South Lake Union area.

Also 464.65 was locked out for some reason. I gotta learn how to take better notes or just memorize stuff like Wil does.
Edit 2010: 464.65 is a paging frequency.

PS The show may not go on in 2010. Link

Do the private fireworks shows that are done, Bainbridge, Highlands, Medina... have to get permits? Might me nice to know when they are to watch and to listen.

I'm at Gasworks now. Same event staffing company. I forgot to bring a scanner but I'm not hearing anyone's butt or shoulder talking anyways.

Harbor Patrol is pacing back and forth yelling at people.

Not much set up going on. Probably less than a dozen people working and less than 20 supervising. Less than 200 people in the park.

Yes, but there was still stuff going on at the park.

I also forgot a memory card, and I wanted to get some pics of a few things, so I ran back home and grabbed both. I heard:

461.1375 (D152)
461.3875

1375 seems to be their main frequency. Everyone was on a first name basis. I heard a few people come up on 3875 radio checking, but they were gone too quick for me to determine what PL they were using, if any. The checks were never answered, and most of them showed up on 1375.

I'm at home and hearing a guy doing a check on 464.5 DPL 345. I think 464.625 was active for a sec.

I wonder how many "Scout" counters Optoelectronics sells now after "Closecall" &
"Signal Stalker" are on most of the highend scanners? :D

Compiling some notes from the scanner, a laptop, and a notebook:

Quote of the night; 20:54
"Lady Liberty is down"
(angirly) "OK what am I supposed to do about that? She's got a big hole in her head"

The PL for 461.3875 was D152. I believe that was their channel 2, as they referred to a channel 2 and I only heard it once when someone radio checked on it.

464.500 (D346) had two audio guys. Checking levels; patching; replacing batteries, etc. Not sure what company they were with. I also wrote down D455 earlier in the day; not sure what I heard on there.

464.600 is a LTR repeater--number 9.

Heard a few blips on 464.625. No voice though.

461.350 (123.0) was a close call hit that I picked up on the Mercer on-ramp. I don't remember what they were talking about.

Apparently One Reel, the not-for-profit company that puts the show on, had their own "channel". I didn't get in to the park on the 4th (rain discouraged me) so I don't know what it was. I spent the evening at Westlake (the real Westlake--not the mall) and wasn't picking them up. CSC was running simplex and I was getting 1-2 bars with the stock duck and 3-5 with my trunk mount "all band" antenna.

Here's a timelapse

Active late on the 4th of 2012:
461.1375 D152
464.5000
464.6250

Wasn't paying too much attention to the scanner.
