Dep 1 probably responds from Headquarters Station 10.
Safety 2 responds from Station 2.
MAR 5... I thought this is the fire investigator. I don't know where they respond from.
BUFF 3 and BUFF 4 are fire buffs who provide some rehab type support at large incidents.
M80 Medic 80 is a Medic Unit put in service for large events. It doesn't have a specific station to respond from.
PATRL 4 what is it and what station? I believe Patrol 4 is a harbor patrol boat. It might be a SPD Unit.
PIO public info officer what station? Probably the HQ station.
RECON 1 what is it and what station? I thought I read somewhere that Recon 1 was used to investigate HazMat incidents before sending out Unit 77.
U87, U88, and U89 are designators for Technical Rescue. The Unit is actually Rescue 14. It is the second piece of a two piece company. It responds with Ladder 7 from Station 14.
FOAM 1 what is it and what station? Foam 1 is a foam supply truck housed at Station 36.

The information I provided is mostly from memory based on conversations with Seattle fire fighters and reading about it on the internet.

According to the City of Seattle Fire website this is what the abbreviations mean.

A - Aid Van (similar to a Medic Van)
AIR - Air supply truck
B - Battalion chief vehicle
COMVAN - Command/communications van
E - Engine
L - Ladder
M - Medic Van
MAR - Marine Response Van So MAR 5 would be a marine response unit
PIO - Public Information Officer
SAFT - Safety officer

MAR 5 - Is the boat crew that responds from Station 5 / Engine 4 (Fireboat Chief Seattle) to man Engine 3 which is the fireboat that is stationed at Fisherman's Terminal to handle any fires in the Lake Union area from the east end of the Ballard Locks to Lake Washington.

Marshal 5 is the on duty investigation unit which is manned by 2 firefighters with police authority and are dispatched by both the Seattle Fire and Police dispatchers.

Buff 4 was once kept at Station 25 on Capitol Hill but I believe that Sgt.Bilko is correct and it is kept at one of the buff's house for quick response.

And just one more teeny clarification. Indeed, MAR 5 is the marine response vehicle at Station 5. It's a red suburban with MAR 5 on the placard. Marshal 5 also has a suburban and it is not marked with any indicators. (Marshal 5 used to have two unmarked Dodge cars and on police frequencies USED to respond with the unit numbers 777 and 778 but now they are on police radio as Fire Marshal 5). Years ago when there was no police politics and everything worked well, Marshal 5 was assigned to the police General Assignments Unit (Bomb squad) and thus the 700 radio numbers even though their office was in Station 10. Just a little history lesson here. I'm getting my notes together and plan on writing a book on Marshal 5..."The way it was".
