Your going to see more and more of this as time goes by. King County, Washington partners with GeoComm for 9-1-1 dispatch center consolidation feasibility study http://tinyurl.com/bpyygwx It's all about efficiency. The larger centers can answer a 911 call for as much as 1/3 of the $$$ as compared to the smaller centers. South Sound 911 is also looking at this. The days of the single dispatcher center are numbered. |

I bet no one in the State makes as much $$$ as a SFD Dispatcher! They are Firefighters and even work the same type of schedule. |
