Hi guys Do any of the Norcom FD's (Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, etc) use any talk-around or fireground channel when on-scene? Thanks |

They use state ops 1 or 4 sometimes as fireground simplex. |

Not only do they often use the simplex channels, but EFR has them set as pre-planned backups in their portables. Zone A is FTACs 1-10 in channels 1-10, and zone C is StateOps 1-4-1-4-1-4-1-4-1-4. In a comm emergency, they can just flip the A-B-C toggle without looking and wind up all on the same usable channel. |

What are the distance/range of those state ops channels? I have heard them say "go to state ops 1" before( i believe it was for something in Kirkland most recently) but i can;t recieve any comms from here in Bellevue/Issaquah area. I'm guessing the range is pretty low?? |
