WDFW State. (R). I've recently heard a WDFW unit refer to it (on it) as "WildCom" and "Stevens State". Did a drivers check and got a return. Since "Stevens" was mentioned & the signal strength from residence, I suspect the machine is on Calispel with the other State stuff. Any similar 'WildCom' traffic around the 'Sound area? |

Yes, all the DNR "state" repeaters have names denoted their general location, and STEVENS is on Stranger Mtn. WildCom is the tactical callsign for F&W base, statewide - I suspect it may be in Olympia. |

The Radio Operator didn't sound 'seasoned' (surprised maybe), although she did read back the return ok & time stamped. Could have been a Desk Mic opposed to a Headset. |
