The following frequencies were used to coordinate the opening of the Microsoft Store in Bellevue, WA on November 18 2010. The store is located on the first floor a bit north of Center Court. Most members carrying a radio had it hidden in their pocket with a remote earpiece. Pretty sure they were Vertex VX-354; Bearcom? Some of these may be unrelated; I used Close Call Auto Store to gather freqs for a while and then listened some. 462.4625 (?) Didn't hear much here 464.8125 (D371) Seemed to be the main channel prior to ribbon cutting; hailing all kinds of people, telling people where to go, especially in to and out of the store. 462.5750 (D315) Seemed to be line control for the outskirts of the line; possibly helped with the transition between the parking garage and inside. After ribbon cutting most traffic was here. 467.8500 (D351) Mostly (but not exclusively) dealing with people up above--rope cutters, sound booth, etc. 469.5000 (D423) Mostly (but not exclusively) getting photographers to different places. The photographers didn't have radios, but the people who did knew the photographers and told them were to go. 469.8750 (?) Didn't monitor long enough 457.6875 (?) Didn't monitor long enough 467.8125 (203.5) Didn't monitor long enough 464.8750 (?) Didn't monitor long enough MS used the empty store next to it as a press area with a big huge sign on it. They also had the former jewelery store on the second floor across from the Pottery Barn. This was referred to as the VIP area and had no sign and was guarded by two rent-a-cops. Guess they didn't want this guy getting hurt. Dunno how long these are gonna be active; I assume they're licensed to the rental company. Dave Matthews was there tonight; Apolo Ohno will be there tomorrow, and Miley Cyrus will be at the old Safeway on Saturday afternoon. |

Sadly, I think that is pretty much statndard practice among rentals. But yeah, the shop you refer to doesn't hold ANY licenses in this area. |
