Anyone have a 700 that might be having issues with overloading? I have tried everything from 5 different antenna's to the attenuator to even driving around the county aimlessly looking for a place that doesn't skip... I am getting it on Kitsap South 155.43 and North..155.685. None of the other simulcast frequencies are doing it, to include TAC7 and LE4 which are just as robust power and site wise as south and north. Anyone have one with a similar problem or have ANY idea on something that might help? Really I am at wits end... Its really annoying to just hear "Cen...John..... I need...... routi........also....plate...." and out of the other 4 scanners that I have, none of them have any problems... To include one plugged into a ground plane antenna on a 30' mast... Which I would think if anything was going to overload, that would be the one to do it... Not the handheld with a duckie inside a building with metal siding... It actually skips anywhere though... It sounds exactly like a the skip that you get when you turn priority on, but there is no priority turned on... I am about ready to send the thing back... |

Go back into the edit software and see if the pl is on and try it without a tone on those freqs. It could be the radio is not decoding the sub-audible tones as well as it should. |

I didn't even think of that... so far so good actually... Looks like that *may* have been it... |
