Monday, June 14 @ 8am was the official start time.
A few months ago Grant County Fire District #5 decided to terminate their ambulance service. GCFD #5 served the following fire districts/departments: GCFD #4 (Warden), GCFD #13 (rural Ephrata), GCFD #7 (rural Soap Lake), Ephrata FD and Soap Lake FD.
AMR was chosen to take over the ambulance service. As agreed upon they are using existing GCFD #5 ambulances for 1 year and they have hired paramedics/EMT's from GCFD #5. The ambulances have all been updated with the AMR logo.
They are being dispatched by MACC on Fire 1 (159.150) and Fire 2 (154.190). They are known on the radio as AMR Ephrata and AMR Moses Lake.
