I was at South Center Mall last night and they had a bunch of security people from a CO called "Private Security CO"
"PSC" dose anybody have any frequencies for this CO

Also they were video taping out in the open everybody who was coming into the mall.

Hmmm...are you sure that was their name? I can't even find an active business license for any of those names....

if they are some sort of PMC, I would question their authority to operate in Washington State.

From a brief search on DOL, doesn't seem to be any licensed security companies names PSC or 'Private Security' or any variation of....

There is a sole proprietorship business license for 'private security' but is not licensed as a security company and is a sole proprietorship, Ie not incorporated.

I saw this during the holiday... I find it highly unlikely that a a private security biz would be a sole-proprietor, if so it would be increasingly risky and poor business practice with all the liability. I know at one time South Center Mall had in house security, and with the addition of the new mall added a bunch of cameras.

Last time I was at Southcenter, they were using contracted security from IPC. I think the shoulder patches say IPC in the middle with Private Security Corporation around it. Some states require that wording, and IPC's website says they're national in scope.

That makes more sense; and I am familiar with IPC.

They typically don't bring their own radios; the client provides them last I checked.

From the DB

462.1125 D043 R Tukwila SOUTHCENTER MALL - OPERATIONS

154.540 114.8 S Seattle SOUTHCENTER MALL SECURITY KLO831

I have listened to the UHF freq and heard security dispatch during the Christmas shopping madness.

I wonder if the extra security had something to do with the Apple store located inside and the Ipad release.

KLO831 doesn't exist, and the only companies in King County licensed to transmit on that frequency are Budget Auto Wrecking, Kent SD, North County Alarm & Patrol (term), Valley Med Ceter, Ralph Rockey (exp), and Summit at Snoqualmie.

The UHF frequency, which I've also listened to, is licensed under WQHD762 (WEA Southcenter LLC DBA Westfield Southcenter Mall). They're licensed to push 40 watts on that repeater, and I remember it coming in strong in Auburn so I'd say that's it.

I monitored the uhf freq for a while today. I heard mobile security people on a repeater. Addresses in Olympia and Tumwater were mentioned.

There was no mall activity at all.

462.1125 (D 043) is the Southcenter security primary channel
I don't have channel 2
Channel 3 is 451.5625 (D 043), I've heard concierge, housekeeping and security all on there.

I'll listen more this coming weekend; I'll be in Renton.
