Just was wondering who scans from the Fairwood area of Renton in the highlands. What are your monitoring capabilities as far as what agencies, locations, etc you can recieve. Possibly moving to that area within a couple to three weeks. i do have an outdoor antenna, so that will help. Was hoping to get an idea of what I might be able to scan or ranges of areas I can recieve from up that way.

Thanks :D

An old coworker lives up that way.
He hears stuff from Thurston CO, and works 2M simplex all over.

I'm in Fairwood. Depending on where you are, you can receive from all over the place. For trunked, I can get all three King Co. systems, Tacoma, Sno West, and the Port. VHF stuff comes in from all over, particularly from over on the other side of the Sound since Gold Mtn. is basically line of sight to here.

Good luck!

Thanks B. i will let you know If we decide to go with the place we are looking at. looking forward to some new scanning as it's always fun to scan from a new area so to speak. would appreciate any other comments as well as to the scanning from the "Fairwood" and "Highlands" areas.

Nevermind. decided to go elsewhere. But still within the sare general area, Newcastle, Bellevue, Issaquah. Scratching the Fairwood area off the list.
