Hey, wait a minute... That's one of Kitsap County's new freeequencies!

Used here as Law Enforcement One ( covering North County, Poulsbo and Bainbridge Island) Input is the old KCSO output, 158.880...

Only a few kilohertz away Fife PD has a "narrowband" allocation that messes this one over, as the original scheme called for this to be the "south" frequency, but :chaingun: within minutes of the "changeover"
the interference to mobiles (and scanning enthusiasts) got tiresome so
South switched to the "old" North (155.430) and the North end mobiles are far enough away from Fife that their "splatter" on the new frequency (155.685) is tolerable.

This happened around two years ago...

Have been monitoring traffic on Skagit County Fire Tac 3 for several days. I am hearing both Mount Vernon Fire units and med unit traffic. My location is central to all 3 fire stations and the radio tower. Could be just a problem with that frequency for a limited time frame. Just for info, I am not receiving any other traffic from neighboring counties (such as Kitsap) on either of my handhelds. Good listening to all...

I am monitoring 155.685 (tac 3) and hearing traffic on that frequency. Do not remember hearing any traffic on 154.265 for quite some time, even though it is listed as tac 2. I use a Uniden BC235XLT handheld scanner with no PL coding. I am hearing a short audio tone burst at the start of transmission from the mobiles on tac 3, so you may be excluded if you are using an advanced scanner with coding capabilities.

Thought I would track the tac freqs for a few days and report back on this thread. Sorry I did not indicate that tac 3 is 155.685

This is some traffic I have monitered on the Skagit County Fire Tac Frequencies during the past week (not 24/7). This list only includes what I actually heard during the week. If I catch traffic on the other Tac Frequencies, I will add an addition.

154.430 F FIRE 1 (Fire Dispatch - Active)
155.685 F TAC 3 (Mount Vernon, Burlington, Clear Lake)
155.805 F TAC 5 (McLean)
159.150 F TAC 6 (Bayview)
153.785 F TAC 8 (Sedro-Woolley, Concrete, Grassmere)

Keep listening...

One quick question - my Win500 software won't let me enter the frequency 155.8035 - it keeps updating to 155.805 no matter whether I pick FM, NFM, or Auto. Any ideas?

The correct freq is 155.805. The 155.8035 must have been a typo :D
I have corrected it in the database.

I did make a typo. Sorry to one and all. I edited my original entry to reflect the correct frequency. Thanks for the heads up. :D
