Post subject:  Hostage Situation in Snohomish? Now Lk Stevens
PD shutting down Bickford in Snohomish. Check it out on Sno CO East. 1680. Now they are saying it might be a fake call!.....geez, do the police have enough to deal with. First call in said they were heavily armed and had C-4.

The address was wrong, shows up near Lake Stevens off Hwy 9. Now looking like a spoof. No weapons, I hope they put them all in jail!

Now something about a Spoof Card the guy heard in a chat room? If people are doing this for jollies this guy needs some serious jail time. Half the eastside is scrambling.

It was all just a big joke. Family sitting around having some good ol fun on a Sat. night. What a bunch of kidders some people are!.....ha ha ha ha.

Wouldn't be the first time somebody has used a Spoof Card to call in a fake hostage situation here in SnoCo.

I was just doing a Google search on Spoofcard and there are some sick people messing around out there. I didn't realize, but that's the same kind of stuff I saw on Dateline a few weeks ago where it's all the rage to call in fake emergencies at motel rooms and record what happens. Tell the people that the building is on fire or there's a bomb in the room. Throw a tv through the window or trigger the sprinkler system.

Oh man after hearing the police and fire scramble for 20-30 mins on a fake call like that I'm hot. This was a family with two young kids! Don't people have anything better to do?

Can we please post these "live as they happen right now" topics in the thread which is in place for those? Or create a whole separate forum for those?

I don't really care about the robberys, shootings, gang fights, hostage situations that happen on the west side ot the state because we have enough of that shit here on the east side of he state for me to listen to.

This specific forum (Intercept BBS) is specifically for posting new frequencies, questions about what you hear, un-used frequencies, scanners, scanning equipment, scanner accessories etc. not blow-by-blow what you hear on the scanner. Am I correct? There are alert pages for that stuff.

Thank you for pointing that out. I'll refrain from any more posting and be sure to contact you for permission the next time. I wouldn't want to disrupt the flow of 3-4 posts a day on here that might take away from every ones scanning time....... :bowdown:
