I updated the database with the talkgroups I'm 100% sure about that belong to NorCom fire departments. I renamed them "NorCom Fire" for Tac 1-9 and EFR training, as well as dispatch 1 & 2.

Thanks for the update. I noticed a couple of problems with the list of apparatuus for Shoreline Fire Dept. I work for Shoreline and would be happy to give you an update any time.

I believe it's still correct to refer to these as Fire Zone 1 channels.

Bothell Fire should probably be listed as Bothell Fire / SCFD 10

The Fire apparatus that are in old SCFD # 10 are labeled as District 10 and the Uniform patches and badges say both departments.

So It seems that Norcom is now dispatching these Fire Agencies as well?? Wasn't Woodinville, Northshore,Duvall and Shoreline use to be dispatched by King Co? I guess they have now switched over to being dispatched by NORCOM??

NORCOM dispatches for everything that Eastside Communications and Kirkland PD used to dispatch for - they didn't take on anything beyond that.

In very simplistic terms, NORCOM is just the old Eastside Communications center - only the name has changed (and, the addition of Kirkland, Medina, and Mercer Island PD's).

Most of the same dispatchers are there, and they're using the same equipment as before.

You will here Fire user agencies refer to NORCOM as "Dispatch or Fire Dispatch" Unlike SNOPAC & SNOCOM. Let me know if I'm wrong?

Right. Shoreline, Northshore, Bothell, Woodinville, Kirkland, Bellevue, Mercer Island, Duvall, Eastside Fire & Rescue (Issaquah, Sammamish, North Bend), Fall City, Snoqualmie, District 51 (Snoqualmie Pass), and Skykomish (don't know the district # off top of my head) are all dispatched by NorCom.

And they do call to "Fire Dispatch" typically. ValleyCom users call out the channel name ("Fire3 from Engine 11", for example).

NorCom Fire Departments go to the Tac assigned to them during the dispatch, or can ask for a unique tac if things develop. Both Sno Pass and Skykomish are dispatched on 154.190, which is also the frequency voice dispatches go out on via tones. The 190 can be patched into any tac that NorCom chooses. Historically they use Tac8 for this but recently I've heard them using several other Tacs. The voice paging is in the process of being replaced by digital pagers.

I did confirm that there is a TAC10 for NorCom Fire, I just don't have the talkgroup ID number 100% certain. When I do I'll update the database.

NorCom is upgrading its system to be more internet based to handle emergency text messages. A NorCom spokesperson stated this next generation of 911 will involve words and pictures.

Counties in Washington State won't go live with the new 911 text system until it's tested and standards are put in place by the National Emergency Number Association, which should be completed by the end of 2010.

EFR is still dispatching with tones and (real) voice on 154.190.
Have seen both 31472 and 21936 labeled as Tac 10.

Yup - but text pagers are flowing in so not sure how long voice paging on the 190 will happen. Also paging happens on 154.400 (off the top of my head?) for Northern King County, and there's a separate UHF frequency for Bellevue voice dispatch that I don't recall off the top of my head.
