No system information, no freq. no Talk Group, What is UPD ? There should be some sort of standard on how to send an ALERT PAGE!

i have all alerts (for every disp location) set to my yahoo address and didn't see anything last alert I got was from Spokane saying dude was killed.

Given that we want pages to be short, adding the primary freq or TG to the end of the page should suffice.

Since the page will identify the location and/or agency it should be easy to figure out what area the freq is relevant to or what trunk system the TG belongs to.

I received the alerts too, but didn't understand= UPD

For info I put out the {Clemmons shot/ killed} alert, due to the magnitude of public safety.

My guess would be sense it was the 2nd page and the first text of the page that UPD might stand for update.
