"The" Avenue is short for a lot of the Pierce County guys for Pacific Avenue. Another one is the King County "Lincoln" cars in SeaTac advising thay are at "The Line" which is Pacific Hwy S or International Blvd.

University Avenue in the U-District- It's from the UW newspaper.
