Searched for 151.04 and got this:

Freq PL/M Ty Sv St County City Call Notes
151.040 CSQ S DOT WA Snohomish Edmonds FERRY DOCK HANDHELDS, ALSO KINGSTON DOCK
151.040 CSQ S POL WA Snohomish Edmonds POLICE FOR FERRY TRAFFIC CONTROL
151.040 CSQ S DOT WA King Snoqualmie REMOTE SIGN CTRL/VOICE
151.040 CSQ S DOT WA Skagit Anacortes WASHINGTON STATE FERRIES - BOAT/DOCK HANDHELDS
151.040 CSQ S DOT WA San Juan Friday Harbor WASHINGTON STATE FERRIES - BOAT/DOCK HANDHELDS

Had to take a ferry to/from Bainbridge Island this weekend, found this was the frequency for both the boat handlers and WSP at the Seattle dock. I also have this as a mutual interconnect frequency for WSP to DOT on the passes (I've heard it used in winter up on Snoq. Pass).

156.7 I think is a normal marine frequency (too much of a hurry this AM to check) and that was referred to as "Seattle Traffic" and was what the ferries called to before they left the docks.

156.7 is VTS (Vessel Traffic System). Its used for marine traffic coordination in the Puget Sound.

Cool. Can we add this freq. to either statewide ferries/DOT or as a common WSP frequency?

Thanks.

What I was also hoping for (but will leave to your discretion) was to have it listed as the same place as DNR stuff at the bottom for common freqs for WSP on the statewide page, since it's another freq you'll find WSP troopers on....

Marine Channel 79A 156.975 is Washington State Ferries
Marine Channel 14A 156.700 is Puget Sound Marine Traffic control (VTS)
Marine Channel 16A 156.800 U.S. Coastguard Emergency/Hailing

Ferries check in with Puget Sound Marine Traffic Control(VTS) on departure, and monitor Marine Ch 16A while sailing.
