Anyone know what they are or do? This is the one unit I have not been able to figure out over the years. |

No. Transit patrols are referred to as just that. e.g. "Transit 17". |

It sounds silly (because of the phonetic letter)...but I think it may actually be the explorers. |

Interesting. I had not considered that. I'll have to keep an ear out and listen to the radio traffic. Problem is I do not hear them on the air all that often. |

If they come up on an obscure group like an events, an EPOL, some ridiculously high number Tac etc. it's mostly like them. |

No. This is SCSO South. That's why I kind of question it. However the Victor units are on there daily doing checks an whatnot. So who knows. |

Based off some radio traffic I heard this morning, I'm fairly sure the "Young" unit is the deputy assigned to patrol Paine Field. |
