I've seen these 2 engines in the same area on several occasions and have followed them to the SFD Training Center located at Myers Wy. S and S. Roxbury St.

Is it possible that these SFD Engines represented the SFD numbering system Apparatus 90 & Apparatus 92? All the engines in the fleet have two numbers, the current assignment which could change from the rig changing stations and the permanent Apparatus # given when acquired. You see a lot of these spare rigs assigned to training or a big 3-11 or 4-411 when off duty guys come in and respond. This was just a guess?

Interesting. SFD usually uses identifiers in the 80's for such things. Ones in the 90's overlap with Mercer Island, which, I would have thought, would have ruled them out... same for the 60's and whatever numbers the cities just south of Seattle use.

Ok. Lets see if I can clarify this. I've heard that Seattle has reserve Engines in the range from 80 to 92.
Yes, Mercer Island does use Engines in the 90's. Yes, Engines 90 and 92 are used for training and have been used recently for training 'house fires'. And the 'Fire Explorer' Scout group uses them, too. Clear as mud now?

SFD got rid of there Explorer Scout 511 program a number of years ago. They do have a Cadet program which is not the same but similar.
