Who's the DNR expert around here. Huge amount of new licenses. Are the old freq's .xx or .xxx going away for the new .xxxx freq's? . |

.xxx stuff is mostly going away. .xxxx is pretty much the new thing. State A, B, C, D, E, etc... repeaters with same TX's & RX's will retain same freqs, just with new DPL's instead of PL's and different names. State G was active on Clemans for a while even after some of the .xxxx stuff came into effect. Now I hear nothing out of it. It's in a good spot though, you could hit it from Ellensburg and Yakima with only a 5 watt portable. |

I've been updating our database with DNR stuff, just about done with what I've confirmed. I haven't heard a PL on State frequency for a couple of weeks now. The 'letter' designations are obsolete, too. I've got a half dozen or so DCS codes logged, please let me know if you hear any (and where they are!). I don't hear the east side much during the winter... All the "Area" channels are also going to "location" designators. Flash |
