I am visiting my parents in the Tri-Cities for the holiday and discovered that their BC780xlt is no longer trunk-tracking the Benton County system. The main frequencies appear to be working fine, but the control channel frequencies are silent 859.9375 (primary) and 860.9375 (alternate). Does anyone have any information related to changes or updates to this system?? Thank you! Kevin |

I was over there a month ago and it worked fine. add these two, 854.4125 and 854.5125 they may be voice only so I'm not sure. Are any of the other freqs. putting out a control channel noise? Disregard the 2 freqs I think I found what they are for :( A two-channel upgrade of BCES’s 800MHz system to provide encryption capability for hospitals and ambulances has been installed at sites and is currently awaiting a subscriber upgrade and installation. This upgrade will allow secure communications with the hospitals when transporting CSEPP patients. |

I searched for other control channels nearby but all I could find were trunking systems used by other agencies and the Hanford Nuclear Reservation. |

I would guess that they did their infrastructure rebanding in the last month and rebanded their 860 frequencies to something else. It was optional to move from the 860 frequencies. Perhaps they moved? Search between 851-861 for a control channel, should be there somewhere. |

Would one need to set up a custom trunking table if it was rebanded? |

I beleive if any of the new freqs ends in 0 instead of 5 then you need to have a custom table. But I haven't tried it out myself personally. |

I initially searched for other control channels but didn't think I would need to look over such a large range. |

I would assume that the two 860 freqs are gone. Probably have to run trunker to see whats going on. |

Still on 453 as far as I know They also use an MDT system which may limit voice traffic |
