Anyone keep an ear on the McChord UHF trunked system? I noticed today that the control channel was operating on a new frequency - new to me at least. I found it on 406.3625 MHz. That frequency is the base frequency of the custom table needed to trunk-track the system, but I've never seen it listed as a repeater in the system. Is this something new or just an oversight? - Chris |

It is on 407.1625 right now which is the lowest chan showing on unitrunker. I have always picked up phantum hits on unitrunker starting up on this system usually showing type I calls, but only on startup. One of these tends to be chan 380. Correction... 380 is now a VC and may be a CC. It just hit as a VC for me tonite. |

Thanks - I actually found the control channel on the new frequency by ear - I was searching the UHF band and noticed that the system ID was for the McChord system, then ran Trunker on it... - Chris |

I can barely copy 13wpm of CW, and you can decode a system ID by EAR! |

Well, if DSTE is on it, it's as good as solved. I'm going to beg off and spend my time on that other thing. |

Those are definitely new since last spring or so when I last checked. I've seen systems use 380 as a control channel, but never anyone go below 380 for anything - if the .1625 frequency is real, did they shift the whole system down? Flash |

Flash It didn't appear to me that anything else had changed other than 406.3375 showing as the control channel. The system still tracked using the same voice channels I've logged before. Here is what I logged on Trunker when it was active: 406.3375,17c,ffff,0 407.1625,1bc,ffff,89f 407.7625,1ec,ffff,aa0 409.5625,27c,ffff,98f 409.7625,28c,ffff,a35 409.9625,29c,ffff,a14 410.3625,2bc,ffff,8bf 410.7625,2dc,ffff,9fb - Chris |

I confirm that the only change seems to be the growth of a new VC/CC at 380. The change must have just taken place the day or two before since I just had unitrunker up on it and did not see it. |

406.3375 was today's control while I drove by. Added it to the lineup in the PSR and it tracked fine. |
