Wapato Fire is dispatched on Lower Valley Fire Main (154.385.) The City of Wapato Fire Chief (Santos Valdez) uses a Kenwood TK-2170 and is a real nice guy.
City of Wapato Police is dispatched on Yakima County Sheriff "Lookout" Repeater by the County Dispatchers. It's been a while since I've listened to the Lower Valley Sheriff Dispatch so I can't say 100% percent certain that that is going on. But, the FCC database shows a license (WNNK807) for Wapato City to transmit on 155.100 -- the input for the Lookout Repeater. Also within that license, it shows a frequency of 154.875, which is only licensed to the City of Wapato in Yakima County. It makes me think that it is a tac/car-2-car frequency just for them. The City of Selah has the same thing. Selah is dispatched on Yakima Police Primary (156.015), but have their own channel they call "City" (154.800) and for them, I can confirm that they are using that as a tac/car-2-car simplex frequency. I hear them every once in a while on it. MTM might be able to say what it's used for, but that's what my money is on.
